Clinical supervision is an essential part of reflective practice and provides staff with a safe place to explore clinical issues and identify development opportunities. It aims to increase the therapeutic value of the care being delivered and provides us with an opportunity to care for ourselves and prevent burnout.
Aim – In this workshop we will explore clinical cases using a coaching model. Participants will gain an understanding of the difference between clinical, management and professional supervision. They will gain confidence in building a therapeutic alliance whilst making connections and supportive relationships. They will learn how to implement a collaborative supervision contract and set agendas that provide clear responsibilities for supervisor and supervisee.
